Soul Journal Prayer: Invocation to Christ in the Time of Cruelty

For those who remember love when the world forgets.
---
O Christ, flame of mercy, breath of truth,
You who walked among the broken and did not turn away,
You who wept for the world and still held it close—

Come now, into this night of grief.
Come now, into the silence of children and the fury of mothers.
Come now, into the place where lies dress as law and cruelty wears a crown.

We do not ask for vengeance.
We ask for vision.
We ask for the strength to protect the soft ones.
We ask for the courage to speak when silence is demanded.

Let your presence be a shield around our sons and daughters.
Let your truth be a sword against deception.
Let your love be louder than  hate.

You said, “Blessed are the real peace-makers”
You said, “Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me.”
We remember. We refuse to forget.

You walked with the ones who bore no weapons.
You stood with the truth-tellers who were cast out.
You saw through the thorns disguised as gold.
We remember. We refuse to be deceived.

Walk with us now, Christ, cover us with your veil.
Walk with us through the fire, through the lies, through the ache.
And when the world forgets what love looks like—
Let us be the ones who remember.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

Closing Breath:
This offering is for those who feel lost, who feel mad, who feel broken raw open.
You are not alone. You are not weak. You are the thread.
Let this invocation be a shield, a lantern, a breath of clarity.

With you all,
Viviane
